Shower enclosure with black frames – how to choose the right one and when?

Among designers of specialised interiors—bathrooms, without a doubt—there is a prevailing belief that what is functional should also remain highly aesthetic. Such is the case with the black‑framed shower enclosure, whose raw beauty opens up a wealth of design possibilities. Which model of such an enclosure should you choose, and how should you position it in a given bathroom so that it aesthetically complements the character of the interior?

Among designers of distinctive interiors, which bathrooms undoubtedly are, it’s widely held that what’s functional should also remain highly aesthetic. Such is the shower enclosure with black profiles, whose raw beauty opens up many design possibilities. Which model of such an enclosure to choose, and how to position it in a particular bathroom so that it aesthetically complements the character of the space?

Shower enclosure with black profiles and the bathroom interior – what does it go with?

While the days when white reigned in bathrooms haven’t exactly passed, interiors filled with other hues are becoming just as popular. Shower enclosures with black profiles fit naturally into this trend and suit many types of bathroom schemes.

Thanks to their distinctive, edgy (at times!) look, they work brilliantly in modernist, contemporary, original interiors, as well as in raw, simple and minimalist bathrooms. Black shower enclosures (with black profiles) are, however, far more versatile, and with even a modest eye for aesthetics you can weave them into a great many different bathroom interiors.

In a glamour style – full of opulence and shimmering details – modern shower enclosures with black profiles would provide a convention-breaking element without undermining its aesthetics. In an industrial scheme, they would underscore its character, rounding it out. An exotic, oriental style would likewise lose nothing by using this type of enclosure, as an enclosure with black profiles can resemble a glazed screen, often associated with the Far East.

Minimalism? Why not? The Scandinavian style is restrained, just like a shower with black profiles, but the aesthetic impact is anything but minimal. All of this means that the black profiles of shower enclosures can almost always be worked into a bathroom’s decor!

A bathroom in black – the new trend for black enclosures!

The bathroom styles mentioned earlier have been known for quite some time. In interior design, however, a relatively new aesthetic trend has emerged, the main premise of which is to play with many shades of black. It’s not about making every element of the bathroom interior this colour, but about using it skilfully – not only in the enclosure, but also on walls, furniture and lighting.

A darkened bathroom interior gives it a distinctive character, although in practice it can be a bit demanding. Even so, the aesthetic results are just as delightful as in brighter types of bathrooms.

In this style, shower enclosures with black profiles are something of a focal point of the bathroom. Choosing furniture that ties in colour-wise with the enclosure shouldn’t be a problem. They can be in a different colour, but the key is the presence of black, dark elements. The enclosure and black profiles, plus white furniture with black edging? That’s just one example.

It’s worth emphasising that in darkened bathrooms, space is very important, so smaller interiors are often visually expanded using mirrors, often of substantial size. Combined with dark wall finishes (tiles in deep hues), carefully tuned lighting (e.g., backlit mirrors, a chandelier of appropriate power) and well-chosen accents, a shower with black profiles will create a space true to the “bathroom in black” concept!

A completely black shower tray allows you to create schemes in which glazed enclosures with black profiles perform exceptionally well. A white shower tray is well known and extremely popular. So it’s worth doing something original and opting for black.

Individual bathroom accessories, on the other hand, can to some extent break up the dominance of black, dark tones or complement it. Black soap dishes? Why not? But if the walls are dark too, it’s worth choosing towel hooks in a slightly different colour or with light, wooden elements.

A shower enclosure with black profiles is therefore a particularly attractive option for lovers of modern and versatile aesthetics. It’s easy to fit into almost any interior, with which it will either provide the right contrast or harmonise. There are many possibilities!
